The BC government funds the DRO program to reduce physician workload and improve patient care. Clinics can use DRO services, including eReferrals, at no cost.
Licensing: The platform licenses are fully funded for clinics using eReferrals.
Tools access: Free access to clinical referral and patient communication tools, such as secure messaging and appointment reminders.
Implementation support: Funding is available to help health care teams during implementation and training phases.
Doctors of BC Members: Eligible for compensation covering time spent on implementation and learning (typically 2–7 hours). Support staff may also qualify. Members can participate in specialty working groups and other supported sessions.
Nurse Practitioners: May receive compensation through quality improvement or educational projects.
